The Elevator.
The floor light is all we see.
Going up or down.
I’ve noticed that at school, when I get into an elevator with a lot of people that don’t know each other, they look at the elevator floor light to prevent any type of conversation. Seriously, like EVERYONE was looking up at the elevator floor light. Kinda weird. But that’s just me. haha.

hi patrick! you know…i don’t think i’ve ever visited your twitter profile and i just discovered that you had a blog too! yayy. i like how you start most posts with a haiku.
csuf students, well, some of them….are a very strange and specific breed. i don’t really know why people are so afraid of each other. i don’t really understand why people aren’t more friendly too each other because if nothing else, we can all at least connect over commuting and the parking crunch! haha. i’m glad you joined pbl so quickly bcuz i didn’t at first. i had a miserable first year at csuf for reasons like the silly elevator situation you wrote about here.
heh, those students that i’ve referred to are totally like the opening scene of Crash. In fact, they define it: “It’s the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We’re always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something.”
but that’s okay. we can remedy that one up right away. yay for pbl.
